Whirlwind

Wow, it's been a busy week! Last weekend, it started with my first and last yardsale EVER! Lemmetellya, not something I recommend! I did make quite a bit of money, but when you factor in the time it takes to go through everything you own, or have ever owned, tag it, set it up, clean it up, and haul it off to goodwill, it really doesn't amount to much! My mom joined me in the venture, well, I pretty much forced it upon her, but we slpit the profits, so she got a little something out of it!

Parents were here for 9 days! I love that they are able to visit so much, especially since they want to keep little hauss ALL the time! Gigi picked up little man everyday from preschool AND cooked dinner! Nothing better than that! I got to go to happy hour with the girls and workout in the evenings after work! When they are here, I feel like I don't really get anything done. My house looks like a pigsty and I didn't get to the grocery store until the cabinets were bare, but I have so much fun with them, so it all works out.

We also attended a wedding last weekend that was really nice, but most of all, we were just excited to have a night out! Its been a while since we've been out by ourselves, so we took full advantage and went out afterwards to meet some friends!

The week was also consumed with training for Daddy and classes for me! I'm so used to making up my own schedule, that having to be somewhere on someone else's time was a little weird. I still had my Friday off, so that was nice to be able to catch up on all of the errands I missed out on during the week. We did have time to squeeze in a little bike riding for the little huass though. I'm going to be able to take him on my training runs he was going so fast!

Little hauss went for his 3 year checkup and is officially HUGE! Not that we didn't know that already, but getting the measurements are just clarification. He weighed in at 44 pounds and is 40.5 inches tall! The Doctor said that is your typical 4 year old!!!!! Too bad he just turned 3! I always said I would take him to an amusement park when he was tall enough to ride the big rides, but I think we'll hold off. Definitely needs to be at least 5 before a roller coster!

Looking forward to a relaxing, low key weekend. Enjoy yours!

13.1

That is the number of miles in a Half Marathon! Now, most of you that know me, know that I do NOT love to run. A good brisk walk yes, but a run, notsomuch! So, a girlfriend of my, marathon girl, has almost convinced me that this will be a good idea! It is 6 months away and at DISNEY WORLD!!!!! I'm torn becuase I love me some Disney and the idea of a girls weekend without the Hubby or Little Hauss, but running?? Really?
I did some research on the half marathon training programs out there on the internet, and found some that I feel I could really work with, not to mention, it could get some of the extra baggage I've been carrying around off. I looked up the info on the Disney website about the event and it does look like a great time! Its called the Disney Princess Half Marathon! Obviously, its for Princesses, which both my friend and I definitely are, so you see my problem! I was getting pretty convinced that I could actually pull this off and then, there is was, the small print that said, maximum time to complete race will be 3.5 hours! Notsosure about that! That is 16 minutes a mile! Now, I can walk a fast mile, but 13 of them all at once????
This definitely calls for some thought!

It's OK....

IF Hubby loads the dishwasher and I have to reload it the correct way...
IF Hubby doesn't separate the clothes before loading them into the washing machine...
IF Hubby does little huass' laundry but doesn't use spray and wash (EVER)...
IF Hubby leaves his folded clothes on top of his dresser for days....
BECAUSE I love Hubby and he does about 85% of the housework!!!!!! I really can't complain about that now can I!!!! Thanks Hubby for all you do!

Adam and Eve!

Well, little hauss started an all day church preschool program a couple of weeks ago and loves it! I know my money is well spent because he comes home to tell me things he has learned that day and fun crafty projects that they have slaved over for our viewing pleasure! BTW, most said projects go into the trash (shh, don't tell him that) and only the most adorable or ones worth saving go into a storage box! Really, you could build a village with all that stuff! So, last week, I picked him up and he had one project of two stick figures under some green felt with they saying "Adam and Even disobey and hide from God" on the paper. I asked what Adam and Eve were doing on the paper and his response was "They ate an apple and hid behind the bushes." Pause, giggle, and then "They were naked!" HAHA! I almost had to pull over I was laughing so hard! He is always cracking us up and obviously listening to EVERYTHING we say!

Leelou Blogs

I found this website for great blog backgrounds from one of my friends! She has amazing stuff and they are FREE! The one I currently have is poppy seed! This is super easy to use and she has tons to choose from.

Welcome to Blogging!

This is right up my alley! I've been reading other blogs for about a year now and with the persistant persuasion of some of my friends, I have finally broken down! I am hoping to use this as a virtual scrapbook for my son aka "little hauss" (he's a 3 year old trapped in a 5 year old's body) and my life as a mother! I hope that my "antics" don't bore you, but this is my life! My husband will be all but thrilled that I have joined the blogging world since he thinks I'm already a little too addicted as a reader! I hope you enjoy!
